ORIS

In 1904 just after the turn of the century, the Oris watch factory is founded by Paul Cattin and Georges Christian at Hölstein, Switzerland. Right after WW2, the company established a good reputation for alarm clocks. In 1968, Oris obtains full chronometer certification from the Observatory of Neuchâtel. This award for movement cal. 652 is among the highest forms of recognition that exist for accuracy and superior quality.

Oris presents the Worldtimer watch with Oris movement 690 in 1997. The world’s first watch to feature two analogue time displays incorporates push-button time adjustment. Ralf Schumacher, Formula One driver of the BMW WilliamsF1 Team, became new Ambassador for Oris in 2004.

n 2003 Oris signed an agreement to become the exclusive watch partner of the BMW Williams F1 Team. The Oris F1 Team watch was the most successful Oris watch in 2003.
